Do It for the Sake of Your Children 04-26-09 - revised 04-27-09 mpg Democratic complicity and what "politicizing justice" really means Must Read - A quote...."Bush-defending opponents of investigations and prosecutions think they've discovered a trump card: the claim that Democratic leaders such as Nancy Pelosi, Jay Rockefeller and Jane Harman were briefed on the torture programs and assented to them. The core assumption here -- shared by most establishment pundits -- is that the call for criminal investigations is nothing more than a partisan-driven desire to harm Republicans and Bush officials ("retribution"), and if they can show that some Democratic officials might be swept up in the inquiry, then, they assume, that will motivate investigation proponents to think twice." Obama, Democrats move to block torture investigation Special Note - Obama™ Update -- A quote...."In the face of mounting opposition from the Republican Party and the national security apparatus, President Obama and leading Democrats have indicated they will block any independent commission to investigate the widespread torture of prisoners under the Bush administration in “the war on terror.” - also posted at GlobRsrch Straight to the Top Special Note - A quote...."The torture trail starts and ends in the White House. That is perhaps the most inescapable conclusion to be drawn from the flurry of documents released in the last week—first the OLC memoranda, then a newly declassified report of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and finally an amazing document that Attorney General Eric Holder released yesterday, which has still gained little attention. The Holder note presents a summary of CIA interaction with the White House in connection with the approval of the torture techniques that John Yoo calls the “Bush Program.” Holder’s memo refers to the participants by their job titles only, but John Sifton runs it through a decoder and gives us the actual names. Here’s a key passage:" -- also posted at ICH Democrats' 'Battered Wife Syndrome' Special Note - A quote...."In recent years, the Washington political dynamic has often resembled an abusive marriage, in which the bullying husband (the Republicans) slaps the wife and kids around, and the battered wife (the Democrats) makes excuses and hides the ugly bruises from outsiders to keep the family together." Editor's Special Note: By the way gentle readers, let this website editor assure you that there will be no indictments or independent commissions or any special prosecutors appointed whatsoever regarding what the Neocons did to promote illegal wars, torture, 9/11, the destruction of this nation's constitution or the rape of this nation's treasury at any time now, or in the foreseeable future. You're probably asking yourself how could anyone make such a blanket, categorical statement, with such utter finality.... well just think about it.... Did Bush pardon any of his cronies despite numerous articles and assertions stating he would do so, some of which were even posted on this website. The answer is of course, no, he didn't. Why not? Why would Bush take such an enormous risk given the mountains of evidence against him and more importantly, against those who supported him? Why would he take such a gamble knowing that he and his fellow Neocon travelers were actively hated and despised by a majority of his fellow countrymen? As you ask yourself these questions no doubt a horribly dark suspicion has probably just formed in your mind and you, like this website editor, have jumped to the only logical and obvious conclusion. They made a deal. Probably as far back as when Nancy Pelosi stated she'd "take impeachment off the table" the Demo faction of the DemoRepub party made a deal with the Bush family, Neocons and the MIOC elites. No doubt they said "hold an "honest" election; allow us to assume power and "service" our Bankster/East Coast/APAIC elites and we won't prosecute anyone from your faction - EVER. It's as simple and easy as that to get away with mass murder, theft and pillage in this country. One should note that if Obama does not allow investigations into the prior administration's illegal conduct, along with the required subsequent prosecutions, he will be violating several treaties the US has already signed with the international community. Essentially making his future signature, Congress's legal assent and this Nation's word, effectively not worth the paper they're written on. If that happens there would be absolutely no reason for any country or international organization doing "business" with this nation in the future to ever expect it to honor any of its agreements or commitments, including those of supporting its currency or paying back its bonds. One should also note that if any of those tortured were tortured to fabricate evidence or coerce false confessions, and because of these activities the true perpetrators who carried out the attacks on 9/11 were not properly identified, Obama has possibly opened himself up to charges of obstruction of justice regarding not only the cover-up of the torture itself, but also regarding the ongoing cover-up as to who actually facilitated and financed the crime of 9/11. But don't blame the DemoRepubs for all this; instead, for those of you who voted for Obama or Bush you should blame only yourselves. Next time you go into the polling booth, assuming we the "little people" are even "allowed" to go back into the polling booth again, please vote for someone other than a DemoRepub. If not for your conscience or for that of your own future welfare....at least do it for the sake of your children. – mpg |
