US-NRE "Investments" Are Just Reparations 11-06-09 mpg ExxonMobil-led consortium nets 'supergiant' Iraq oil field -- For now.....mpg Let's make this as abundantly clear as possible. The parasitic class in this country, of which ExxonMobil is a part, helped to set up and murder three thousand Americans so they could go steal Iraq's oil. In which endeavor they helped to kill over one million Iraqis, displace up to five million more and caused hundreds of billions of dollars of damages during their illegal invasion and ongoing occupation of that country. ExxonMobil and their shareholders should go right ahead and invest billions, hopefully tens of billions, but they should do so with the full knowledge that every single dollar they put into Iraq is NOT their's to keep, for two very important reasons. One: Any investment would simply be reparations for the damage the US-NRE did to the Iraqi people on behalf of ExxonMobil's interests. And Two: No contract signed under the barrel of a gun is legally binding whatsoever. Eventually, as the US-NRE's occupation of Iraq winds down to it's inevitable and painful close. Any subsequent Iraqi government can, and should, consider any contracts signed with ExxonMobil to be null and void. They will have the legal right to seize or nationalize any and all assets in Iraq claimed by ExxonMobil without compensation to that company or any of its shareholders and use them on behalf of the Iraqi people. - mpg |
