Socialize one
very lucrative industry that profits from the nation's
natural wealth....maybe. One would HOPE this sort of
policy doesn't spread throughout the rest of Argentina's
business sector, as it has throughout Venezuela's.
National grid systems and major projects such as roads, bridges,
tunnels, dams, canals and power systems are probably OK,
national risk systems such as pensions and single payer health
care plans, again, are probably OK.
Even bureaucracies can actuarially plan for these sorts of
systems without to much trouble, or screwing up to much.
Mostly because these sorts of systems grow organically, time
frames are in decades, (giving them time to fix their
screw-ups), are very slow to evolve or change (Ditto), inputs
and outputs are well known, (and public) and costs can be easily
measured against hundreds of other, very similar, private and
public systems around the globe.
So governments can nationalize some of these systems, but ONLY IF
the government is above board with all of their policies,
engages in full public disclosure of their projects, is squeaky
clean, and subjects itself and their projects to annual
independent public audits and reviews!
Anything else, any other industries they try to nationalize they
can just forget about! Free-markets, with CLEAR, CONCISE,
and SIMPLE, EASY TO UNDERSTAND
RULES,
(as apposed to regulations), determined and enacted by a
transparent democratic process, almost always work better than
command economies (commie/fascist economic systems like the
