The second version of political Islam is represented in Iran, who developed a staunch popular anti-imperial stance towards the West as a result of the experience of a western-backed monarchy and the overthrow of a democratic secular government by a US coup in 1953 (see operation Ajax)."

Tentative Analysis:  This one is difficult to figure.  First approximation analysis is that Gollum Erdogan, realizing that the PNAC Protocols are eventually to be  applied to Turkey, perhaps even to himself, and realizing that his policies against his neighbors and Russia were disastrous and counterproductive, decided to reverse course.

After having witnessed what has already happened to every single world leader who defied the Trinity of Terror and their PNAC Protocols, he very carefully prepared a counter-coup, possibly as early as a year ago, altered his geo-political policies six months ago, and waited for the inevitable reaction. Erdogan possibly even triggered the coup early (like causing a limited backfire, to deny fuel to a forest fire) and is now using his careful preparations to establish a massive, authoritarian, police state dictatorship.
