Butler’s story is fairly well known: four years after a military career that included service in Cuba, China, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Mexico, Haiti, and France, he wrote a book called “War is a Racket.” He gave speeches in which he would say things like, “during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle- man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. Remember all those thousands of articles posted everywhere in the last few weeks, especially on the infotainment-mass-media and also regrettably on many of the faux-Liberal blog sites, about how our fearless Emperor was going to rid the world of nuclear weapons. 

One small problem, as has been pointed out REPEATEDLY for the last sixty years, YOU CAN'T HAVE REDUCTIONS IN NUCLEAR MISSILES IF THERE IS NO ABM TREATY, which by-the-way, the US-NRE unilaterally tore-up. The reason you can't have reductions is it leaves one side, or both, vulnerable to a possible nuclear attack if either side is stupid enough to believe a first strike might take out sufficient nuclear weapons on the other side, to be able to stop the other side's subsequent counter attack by using a "missile shield" .

A little research of this well known and long established strategic calculation would have prevented the unnecessary production of all those stupid, useless, articles. It would be really nice if at some point this nation’s mass-media, along with its Obama worshiping faux-liberals, would just grow-up and stop wasting everybody's time.-- mpg -- posted 07-09-09
