If Chinese officials are going to arrest
a lone individual
who's simply advocating for clean drinking water and a healthy lake,
they will fail as a system, as an institution, as a government, and
eventually as a country. It shows a dangerously stupid level of
inflexibility and intolerance for dissent. Such a stringent
policy is not only moronic, it's counterproductive and will allow pent
up grievances to go unaddressed, build up to unsustainable levels and
eventually explode.
