A lot of people say negative things about Putin, that he's corrupt, repressive, etc.  This website editor never really believed any of it.  On the other hand, never a believer in any politician's capability, integrity or honesty, this website editor looked at Putin with a very jaded and cynical eye.

But you've got to hand it to him.  Syria, Ukraine, the Sanctions, the attempts to politically  isolate Russia, all seemingly repelled with a casual wave of the hand, and now this....there's just simply no other way to put it, he's the master at political Judo, he's the Sensei of geo-political struggle, he towers above everyone in the Anglo-Sphere and the so-called "West".

Russia is lucky to have Putin.  But let's give credit where credit is also due, no man stands alone, he sometimes stands high on the shoulders of others, when they're freely offered to him.
